1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using Mizan, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms. Mizan is a project of Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous charity) provided to the Ummah free of charge.
2. Nature of Service
Mizan provides calculation engines for Zakat, Fitrana, and Fidya based on standard scholarly benchmarks and live market rates. These tools are designed for guidance and record-keeping. The accuracy of the final calculation depends on the data you provide.
3. Religious Guidance Disclaimer
While we integrate scholarly notes and AI-powered jurisprudence explanations, Mizan is not a substitute for individual consultation with a qualified local scholar or Imam. For complex financial cases or specific doubts, we strongly recommend seeking personal religious advice.
4. Institutional Responsibilities
Organizations (Masjids, NGOs, etc.) using Mizan's digital ledger are solely responsible for the Shariah-compliant disbursement of funds they collect. Mizan provides the platform for transparency but does not verify the final destination of funds once withdrawn from the organization's independent accounts.
5. Limitation of Liability
Mizan uses third-party APIs for live metal rates. While we strive for 100% accuracy, we are not liable for market fluctuations or temporary API discrepancies. Users are encouraged to verify rates manually if they notice significant volatility.
6. User Conduct
Users agree to provide honest data and use the platform for its intended purpose of spiritual and financial fulfillment. We reserve the right to restrict access to any user who intentionally misuses organizational tools or attempts to compromise platform security.
